- Los Angeles & Southern California — the largest concentration of hosts, driven by high EV adoption and tourist demand.
- Austin, TX — Tesla's Gigafactory location, with strong local ownership and an active host community.
- Miami & South Florida — high tourist turnover and a strong appetite for standout vehicles for events and weekends.
- Phoenix & Las Vegas — growing supply, often with airport delivery options aimed at visitors.
- Dallas & Houston — expanding host base alongside broader Texas EV growth.
What to do if nothing's available
If a search comes back empty:
- Widen the radius. Many hosts offer delivery well outside their listed base location for a fee.
- Shift your dates. Popular weekends book out weeks ahead; a weekday pickup often has far more supply.
- Check neighboring metros. A one- to two-hour drive to a larger metro can open up several more listings.
- Set an alert. New listings and cancellations both free up inventory — checking back every few days catches openings others miss.
Booking around events
Demand — and price — spikes around major events (auto shows, festivals, conventions) in cities with active host communities. Booking 3–4 weeks ahead of a known event date meaningfully improves both selection and price.
